Brenna Metzmeier

Guest Teacher/Choreographer

Brenna Metzmeier is originally from Northern BC. She began her dance training at Sophia’s Dance Studio here in Terrace BC, now known as Free Elements Dance! She began her professional dance training at the Victoria Academy of Ballet. She graduated from its post-graduate Bridge Program in 2016. She has professionally performed with Ballet Etoile, and with Arts Umbrella’s Performance Research Program as well as Lesley Telford’s Company Inverso Productions. She is currently a professional dance artist based out of Vancouver BC.  She has danced with Noam Gagnons’ Dance Company, “Vision Impure” and was a part of the creation process of a full-length piece called ‘Pathways’ that premiered at the Vancouver International Dance Festival in the end of March 2019.

Carley Cofield

Guest Teacher/Choreographer

Carley was born and raised on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. After 16 years of extensive training, she settled in Toronto at age 18 to begin pursuing her dream of becoming a professional dancer. Over the years she has had the chance to compete and train all over the world. During Carley’s competitive years, she received “Dancer Of The Year” and a scholarship to train in Paris France, an apprenticeship to assist the Extreme Dance faculty with Melissa Williams (So You Think You Can Dance Canada), “The Next Level” award to train in Los Angeles & New York, “Adjudicators Choice”, as well as numerous scholarships from world-renowned choreographers. 

Soon after graduation, Carley was accepted into the Toronto O.I.P. Dance Company. Since then, she has gone on to work with many of Toronto’s top choreographers. Carley has had the opportunity to work on projects and performances for Madonna, Deborah Cox, Capital Cities, Paloma Ford, Shawn Desman, Toronto Fashion Week, “Just Dance” the video game launch, The Much Music Video Awards with international pop-rock band “Hedley”, World Pride, The Pan American Games 1 Year Launch, and many more.

Most recently, Carley was featured as a dancer for the LifetimeTV Movie “Perfect High” starring actress Bella Thorne, danced on the MMVA Red Carpet for Coleman Hell, shared the stage with Pop Star Kiesza at the Air Canada Centre, and worked with Melissa Molinaro on her latest Music Video.

Aside from performing, Carley is thrilled to be choreographing for multi-award winning “Le PeTiT CiRqUe”, as well as Australian pop group “Aussie Youth”. Carley is now residing in North Hollywood, California continuing her commercial dance career with Go 2 Talent Agency. 

Abbygale Chung

Born and raised in Edmonton, Abbygale Chung has been a part of the performing industry for the last decade. From early on, Abby idolized versatile, adaptable dancers. She trained with NXG Company for 6 years, and went ahead winning first place at World of Dance Los Angeles, Hawaii and Edmonton. Continuing her technical training with Shelley Tookey, Abby strived to become as versatile as possible, and pushes herself to perform across genres. Her well-rounded talent has aided her pursuit of diverse professional opportunities including starring in national ad campaigns (7-Eleven Canada, Honda Motors, Ford), supporting various recording artists (Lia Cole Asia Tour, Janet Jackson in Edmonton), and attending Los Angeles’ Millennium Dance Complex Certificate Program (with the support of an Alberta Arts Foundation grant.)

Upon her return to Canada from training extensively in Los Angeles, Abby has been credited in multiple television and film roles, including CW’s Riverdale, Lifetime TV’s Undercover Cheerleader, and The Masked Singer Canada. Most recently, Abby served as lead choreographer for a commercial in partnership with PlanIt Sound. In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Chung teaches internationally as a resident choreographer and instructor in Dubai (UAE), serves as faculty for various intensives in Guangzhou and Amsterdam, and has travelled with VIP Dance Convention across Canada as a choreographer’s assistant. She currently teaches weekly slots at Studio North Dance Complex and Harbour Dance Center in Vancouver, with a specific focus on Jazz Funk, merging her technical and hip hop training. Abby never stops at the opportunity to level up. This is the driving force behind her creativity, work ethic and leadership.

Kaleah Crump

Guest Teacher/Choreographer

Kaleah Crump has been exposed to the arts from a young age at a local studio in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her journey began with Baton Twirling, acro, tap, jazz, and ballet. Since then, she has also been trained in hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, and modern. She has an open mind and is always looking for ways to improve her craft. Her passion and hard work resulted in Kaleah earning scholarships which led to assisting at Triple Threat Dance Convention, and iDance Convention while also taking her across Canada. She has taught at Soul Dance Intensive in Thompson, Manitoba, with Kaizen Dance Productions; a former ambassador for Rutherford Movement Exchange of 9 years in Toronto, Ontario, di-
rected by Stephanie Rutherford.

Kaleah has enjoyed performing at live events such as: The Darlings Cabaret under the direction of Kathryn Schellenberg, The Sweet Spot directed by Jen Oleksiuk, Vancouver WE DAY, Vancouver’s Mural Festival, Vancouver PRIDE, Illustrative Society’s ICON Show directed by Joe Tuliao, Sounds in a Dark Room directed by Christopher Bonus, Welcome to the Main Event and the CFL Grey Cup Festival. She is also honoured to have worked with choreographers Mandy Moore, Jillian Meyers, Luther Brown, Christian Vincent, Jamal Sims, Heather Laura Gray, Jeffrey Mortensen, and Louise Hradsky.
Currently, Kaleah resides in Vancouver to continue pursuing dance. Having completed the Harbour Dance Centre's ITP, and multiple mentorship programs directed by Joe Tuliao, she is actively seeking new opportunities. Her most recent involvements are Tubi’s Sidelined: QB Bad Boy and Me and Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger: The Movie.

Calder White

Guest Teacher/Choreographer

Calder White is a freelance dance artist based on the unceded and stolen lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh nations (so-called “Vancouver, British Columbia”). He is an alumnus of Tkaronto’s Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre and holds a BFA in Dance from the Ohio State University (2018). He has originated roles in work by Shay Kuebler (Radical System Art), Joshua Beamish (MOVEthecompany), Wen Wei Wang (Wen Wei Dance), Rachel Meyer, Ziyian Kwan (Odd Meridian Arts) and Santee Smith (Kaha:wi Dance Theatre). His choreographic work has been shared with audiences across Canada and the US, receiving commissions from Ohio Dance Festival, The School of Dance Ottawa, and Dancing on the Edge (Vancouver), and Boombox Vancouver. Calder is also a floorwork teacher, sharing his workshops with institutions across North America. He is the proud recipient of the 2022 Hnatyshyn Foundation’s Ukraine – Heritage, Spirit, and Future award for Exceptional Talent in Contemporary Dance.
